At Jindivick Primary we believe every student deserves the opportunity to engage in a positive learning environment.
To support students to engage in positive learning behaviours we engage in a Social and Emotional Curriculum that is aligned with DET objectives and supports the needs of the students we teach.

Each week students engage in a Social and Emotional Learning session that supports them to:

  • Recognise and identify their emotions and emotions of others
  • Develop strategies to support them to regulate their emotions
  • Develop an awareness of others
  • Engage in positive social interactions
  • Understand we all have similarities and differences
  • Develop healthy relationships

The frameworks we will be using in 2024 to support students to develop the Social and Emotional awareness include:

  • The Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships program
  • Zones of Regulation
  • Play is the Way
